To mark Brain Injury Awareness week our collective Mind Matters services held a Brain Injury Awareness Event.
Service users and their families, volunteers and staff got together and shared a fun and informative day learning about how living with a brain injury impacts daily life.
Physiotherapist Nicola Cockburn called it a 'fantastic event' and said "We are proud to support the community with specialist physiotherapy in the comfort the person's own home across the Scottish Borders."
The day was rounded off with some fantastic country music played on the guitar by a member of the Borders Brain Injury Service who had re-learned to play the instrument following his stroke.
A huge thank you to everyone who came and made the day such a success.
How we helped:
Valuing the service users experiences
Coping strategies for living with a brain injury
